The Johnboat was made with the help of my friend John Lighhart, this board was mostly built to grovel in small waves. Don’t let it’s shortness fool you, you can ride this board a full 8 to 12 inches shorter than your standard short board. The volume is blended in its full nose, thickness and width. Its stubby outline and wider diamond tail pivots with ease. It actually rides good in bigger waves too especially with the right fin setup. I’ve been riding mine all summer from knee to double over head and loving every minute of it!
